The Once-In-A-Lifetime Heli Skiing Internship Hidden in Greenland's Wildest Mountains - SnowBrains
"Hans Solmssen has spent more than four decades guiding people through the most powerful environments on Earth-foreboding alpine faces, storm-lashed oceans, and now, the vast, unblemished mountains of Greenland. Born on the Big Island of Hawaii and later certified as a Swiss mountain guide and ski instructor, Hans has built a life that shifts seamlessly between snow and sea, helicopters and sailboats-precision and pure adventure."
"Now, for the first time, Hans is opening the door to something rarer than a heli-ski seat: an internship inside the operation itself. This is not a coffee-run internship. This is real access-media, storytelling, logistics, social content, edits, logistics support, and first-hand time in one of the most extreme skiing environments on Earth. The right person won't just observe the trip; they will help shape how the world sees it."
Hans Solmssen brings over forty years of guiding experience across alpine faces, storm-lashed oceans, and Greenland's remote mountains. Greenland Heli Skiing operates one of the planet's most visually staggering heli-ski programs where massive peaks rise directly from the Arctic Ocean. An embedded internship offers practical responsibilities in photo and video organization and editing, behind-the-scenes storytelling, social media content for @greenlandheliskiing, and documentation of daily life within the operation. The season runs April 2-23, 2026, with guests rotating through weekly heli-ski programs, and the intern is expected to be present for much of that window.
