A 17-year-old boy died after an avalanche struck a group of snowmobilers near Nuuk, Greenland. Six individuals were on a snowmobile trip when the avalanche occurred. Four were buried and later found in a hypothermic state. They were transported to Nuuk Airport and then to the hospital. The boy was declared dead at 7:05 p.m. Two others sustained non-life-threatening injuries. This incident follows another avalanche in the same area that occurred less than two weeks prior, where two skiers were buried but survived.
