"We're excited to get the lifts turning and are ready for another great season,"
"We'll have to wait a few days to open, but the fun starts this weekend."
"Pat and Joey Fava have deep roots here,"
"We're thrilled to have them back to kick off the park season with the local community before the lifts even start spinning."
Brian Head Resort moved its 2025–26 winter opening to Friday, November 21 after unseasonable warmth delayed initial November 7 and November 15 start dates. The resort will host a free hike-to rail jam on Saturday, November 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the base of Navajo Mountain, led by pro snowboarders Pat and Joey Fava. The event is open to all ages, free to enter, and does not require a lift ticket because lifts will not be running. At 9,600 feet elevation, Brian Head is typically an early opener in the Utah and Southwest region, but temperature swings have complicated early-season snowmaking across the Intermountain West.
