Brandon Clarke, a Memphis Grizzlies forward and former San Jose State player, died at age 29. The Grizzlies and Priority Sports announced his death without providing a cause. The Grizzlies said they were heartbroken and described Clarke as an outstanding teammate and a person whose impact on the organization and the Memphis community would not be forgotten. Priority Sports said it was impossible to put into words how much he would be missed. Clarke was drafted in the first round by the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2019 and traded to Memphis two weeks later.
