Warriors to honor late Grateful Dead founder Bob Weir
"The Warriors will hold a moment of silence to honor the late Bob Weir before they play the Hawks on Sunday evening. Warriors coach Steve Kerr began his pregame press conference by remembering the rock and roll icon."
"Obviously a legendary figure from right here in San Francisco, Kerr said. Sad day, and the end of an era. Kerr said he wouldn't consider himself a Deadhead' but said he appreciated their impact on the area after reading Season of the Witch, a book about the history of San Francisco culture. He also was well aware of the impact Weir and the band had on the late Bill Walton, whose son Luke coached under Kerr in the 2010s."
