Rebecca Rolfe has been instrumental in the SF LGBT Center's evolution, leading it from its uncertain beginnings to a respected community resource. Over her 22 years, she expanded programming to meet the community's changing needs, including employment support, housing resources, and unique initiatives for youth and transgender communities. Rolfe's commitment stabilized the organization through financial difficulties and positioned it as a vital service hub. Her recent retirement marks the end of an era defined by innovation and unwavering support for the LGBTQ+ community in San Francisco.
As a founding member of The SF LGBT Center, I've had the honor of watching this organization grow from a bold dream into a firmly established beacon of hope.
