The ceasefire was set for May 9th through May 11th and included a suspension of all kinetic activity. The agreement also called for each country to exchange 1,000 prisoners. Trump described the halt to hostilities as potentially the beginning of the end of a long, deadly war. He said talks continue on ending the war that began in February 2022.
