Median listing price in Indianapolis was $265,000 in October. Listings on the market grew 3.6% from the prior month to 2,800 homes and were 21.3% higher than a year earlier. Price per square foot in Indianapolis rose 0.3% month-over-month, outpacing the national decline of 0.8%. New listings in Indianapolis numbered 1,212, down 7.2% from the previous month but up 4.1% year-over-year. Nationwide active inventory remained essentially unchanged at 1,100,001 and new listings fell 2.7% to 384,264. Homes in Indianapolis averaged 51 days on market versus 63 days nationally.
