Three in five Americans recently used AI tools for health or healthcare queries. Between 1.5 and 2 million health insurance-related messages occur weekly, with ChatGPT used for diagnoses, coverage comparisons, and handling post-visit bills and claims. Around 27 million Americans are uninsured and many more are underinsured. A December Gallup poll found record-low 16% satisfaction with the healthcare system. The system's many stakeholders contribute to higher administrative costs, including private employer plans and federal programs such as Medicare and Medicaid.
