"Under our current federal administration, the CDC is no longer a reliable and trustworthy source of information regarding vaccination."
"Studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism. Studies supporting a link have been ignored by health authorities,"
"The whole thing about 'vaccines have been tested and there's been this determination made,' is just a lie,"
The CDC updated its website to state that the claim 'vaccines do not cause autism' is not evidence-based. The updated language says studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism and that studies supporting a link have been ignored by health authorities. HHS has launched a comprehensive assessment of autism causes, including investigations on plausible biologic mechanisms and potential causal links. Boston Public Health Commissioner Bisola Ojikutu declared the CDC no longer a reliable and trustworthy source of vaccination information. A resigned CDC leader said the change did not go through normal scientific clearance, and Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. took credit for the wording while acknowledging past large epidemiological studies found no link between MMR or thimerosal and autism.
