Quick Steps in classic Outlook automate repetitive actions like moving messages to folders or pinning and marking emails unread. A bug introduced in version 2512 can cause Quick Steps to appear grayed out in some situations. Microsoft confirms that the workaround is to use a keyboard shortcut, which works even when the Quick Step is grayed out in the interface. Quick Steps become grayed out when they contain actions that cannot be fulfilled.
