Upon receiving such texts, individuals should be wary of offers that seem too good to be true, as well as requests to communicate through apps like WhatsApp or Telegram.
The goal of this scam is to collect your personal information, allowing scammers to commit identity theft. High-paying, little work for a lot of money? It's a come-on so people will think 'Hey, I can do this and still keep my other job, so I can do this and still lie there and play my games all day or what have you.'
