A renovated public footbath in Wakura Onsen, Ishikawa Prefecture, welcomes visitors with Gyarados, Poliwag, and Politoed emerging from steam over calm waters of Nanao Bay. The Wakura Pokémon Footbath, developed through the Pokémon With You Foundation, transforms a lakeside facility at Yuttari Park into a playful stop while preserving the quiet atmosphere of a traditional onsen retreat. Warm timber interiors, open-air corridors, and long wooden benches frame views toward Noto Island, with colorful character installations throughout. Shoji-inspired window panels display Pokémon-themed graphics, and the project connects to the Pokémon-lids initiative with Pokémon-themed manhole covers in nearby Nanao City. Exposed timber beams, sloped rooflines, and naturally ventilated walkways maintain the waterfront bathhouse feel.
