Dover Street Market Paris Displays Paul Kooiker's Tatras Another Man Story

"Paul Kooiker, known for his provocative and surreal exploration of the human body, identity and voyeurism, captures the spirit of the Washington DC punk scene in his portrait series of author, musician and filmmaker Ian Svenonius, who wears Tatras. Kooiker's story for Another Man Volume II Issue IV, will be showcased at Dover Street Market Paris during Paris Photo, alongside other shoots from the edition by JH Engström, Thomas Mailaender and Chardchakaj Waikawee."

"The team remember director, writer and artist Pier Paolo Pasolini, 50 years since his passing, in a retrospective guest-edited by Conor Donlon with tributes from Olivia Laing, Willem Dafoe, Eileen Myles, These New Puritans and more. Photographer JH Engström, renowned for his emotionally charged and deeply personal visual narratives, retraces Pasolini's steps through Ostia, a small coastal town near Rome, where Pasolini was killed."

Paul Kooiker produced a portrait series of Ian Svenonius wearing Tatras that channels the energy of the Washington DC punk scene. The Kooiker images and additional photographic projects will be shown at Dover Street Market Paris during Paris Photo, open 15–19 November and free to the public. Chardchakaj Waikawee photographed faces and street scenes across Bangkok with stylist Ai Kamoshita. Thomas Mailaender assembled cinematic characters and set pieces as a humorous probe into contemporary masculinity. Conor Donlon guest-edited a Pasolini retrospective with tributes from Olivia Laing, Willem Dafoe, Eileen Myles and These New Puritans, while JH Engström retraced Pasolini’s steps through Ostia. Filmmaker Jim Jarmusch reflects on 1980s New York, his friendship with Tom Waits and Father Mother Sister Brother, and Mexican artist Ana Segovia presents Ramón, exploring dark eroticism in cowboy dress.
