M+ and Centre Pompidou announce multi-year partnership

M+ in Hong Kong and Centre Pompidou in Paris will collaborate under a long-term, multi-year partnership agreement. The framework covers joint curatorial research, exhibition development and sharing, co-commissions and artwork displays, and collection exchange. A landmark exhibition presenting French and Chinese culture will be shown first at Centre Pompidou, with an opening planned for 2030 after major renovations, and later at M+. Additional co-organised exhibitions will begin at M+ in 2027. Joint scholarly research will be supported by a four-year postdoctoral fellowship funded by the Huo Family Foundation, the first grant to M+ and its first arts fellowship. New moving-image commissions will be displayed on the M+ Facade and at Centre Pompidou Francilien-fabrique de l’art starting in 2027.

The London-based foundation has awarded more than $100m to projects in the UK, US and China since launching in 2009, according to an online statement."

"New joint commissions are also part of the agreement with moving image works due to be shown on the M+ Facade and at the Centre Pompidou Francilien-fabrique de l'art, a new conservation and culture hub located in Massy, south of Paris, from 2027."
