Adams then announced he would back Cuomo and campaign on his behalf in neighborhoods where the mayor is most popular. Cuomo accepted the endorsement, and the two appeared together courtside at a Knicks home opener and posted images online. Mamdani framed the endorsement as evidence of dealmaking.
