"We were just crossing the street when he started ranting at all of us,"
"He said if the Holocaust was successful we wouldn't be here today and how he wanted to kill a Jew today and he couldn't wait to do it. I looked at him like he had two heads growing out of his shoulders and he started going off (on me)."
"I was able to defend myself just fine,"
"Genuine"
Armani Charles, 23, was arrested and charged with assault, attempted assault, and menacing as hate crimes for a Dec. 16 attack on 35-year-old Elias Rosner in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The attacker confronted Rosner and other congregants as they left a synagogue near Kingston Ave. and Lincoln Place, reportedly launching an antisemitic tirade. Surveillance and social media video captured the encounter in which the suspect targeted Rosner after Rosner made eye contact. The suspect later stabbed Rosner in the chest above his heart during a second exchange. Police recovered surveillance images and released footage showing the suspect’s appearance and a jacket bearing the word "Genuine". Charles awaited arraignment.
