The Toronto Marlies defeated the Laval Rocket 6-2, taking a 2-1 lead in the best-of-5 North Division semifinals. The Marlies scored early, with captain Logan Shaw netting a power play goal just 11 seconds into the game. Easton Cowan, Henry Thurn, and Alex Nylander also scored in the first period. Cowan has been a standout, recording four points in the last two games. Defenceman William Villeneuve contributed with two assists, leading all AHL defencemen in playoff points.
