Adams demands Columbia release Mamdani's admission records in which he ID'd himself as Asian and African American: 'Deeply offensive'

Adams criticized Mamdani's actions as insulting to rightful college applicants, asserting that exploiting racial identity undermines real struggles. The campaign speculated that Mamdani may have taken an admission offer from a genuine African American candidate, questioning the integrity of his candidacy and calling for transparency regarding potential misrepresentation.

Adams expressed outrage at Mamdani's actions, stating, 'The African American identity is not a checkbox of convenience. It's a history, a struggle and a lived experience.'

Adams' campaign accused Mamdani of possibly taking away an admission offer from a true African American applicant, claiming it's 'not just dishonest - it's possibly fraudulent.'
