"The trout mousse is beautifully plated as thick squiggles, delightfully creamy yet airy, working well with the crunch of the toast and pops of salinity from the trout roe."
"The prawn pot pie is a showstopping dish, featuring a huge domed puff pastry top covering a luxurious creamy prawn bisque studded with sweet prawns and parsnips."
"The spaghetti al funghi is a mega-umami plate composed of winter mushrooms, seaweed butter, red chiles, and gremolata, showcasing a rich flavor profile."
"The malted mille feuille is a pure crunchy sweetness, a layered pyramid dessert with crunchy rolls of chocolate crepes, big dollops of coffee diplomat, hazelnut cremeux, and hazelnut praline."
Confidant restaurant moved from Industry City to Brooklyn Heights, enhancing its offerings with a cozy cabin-like ambiance and an expanded menu. New dishes include trout mousse, prawn pot pie, spaghetti al funghi, and malted mille feuille. The restaurant features a larger kitchen and quirky artwork. Manager Lucy Saintcyr provides excellent drink recommendations, including a mineral white wine that complements the food. A new bakery and pizzeria, Lou & Bev's, is set to open next door in the spring.
