Lilli Lonngren Anders, aged 97, passed away on June 19 and leaves behind a legacy in the art world. Born in 1928, she was an accomplished scholar with degrees from Queen's College and NYU. A Fulbright scholar, she studied in Paris and became an expert on František Kupka, ultimately donating her collection to the Museum Kampa. A long-time educator, Lilli taught art history and studio art for 50 years at Wagner College and contributed to prominent institutions like MoMA and the Guggenheim. She played an active role in Staten Island's artist community.
