Ex-NYPD cadet raped girl, 17, in Brooklyn after meeting on dating app: D.A.
"This defendant is accused of lying about his age, arranging to meet a teenager and then assaulting her when she rebuffed him. The alleged conduct is disturbing and completely unacceptable, especially from someone seeking a career in law enforcement. We will now work to hold him accountable."
"Elnahtawy met the teen on a dating app, where he lied about his age before arranging through Instagram to meet the girl at her home in Flatbush, where he forced himself on her, prosecutors said. The girl reported the rape a few days later to her guidance counselor, who notified police."
"Elnahtawy grabbed the victim's head and forced her to perform oral sex as she cried and begged him to stop inside the motel on Queens Blvd. near 65th St., according to a criminal complaint. The cadet was arrested on Dec. 4 for sexual assault in that incident and charged with rape, forcible touching and sexual abuse."
Ahmed Elnahtawy, 24, a former NYPD Police Academy cadet, was arrested and charged with rape, sexual abuse, forcible touching, and sexual misconduct for attacking a 17-year-old girl on November 30 in Brooklyn. He met the victim through a dating app where he lied about his age, then arranged to meet her at her home in Flatbush and assaulted her when she refused his advances. The girl reported the incident to her guidance counselor, who notified police. This arrest follows allegations that Elnahtawy sexually assaulted a woman at a Queens motel on October 4, forcing her to perform oral sex. He was arrested for that incident on December 4 and charged with rape and related offenses. The NYPD terminated his employment on January 21.
