20 New Songs Out Today
"So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we'd call "indie," and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here's a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place."
"ROBYN - "DOPAMINE" (JAMIE XX REMIX)Jamie xx delivers his first remix in three years, of Robyn's euphoric comeback single. - FLOATING POINTS - "CORNER OF MY EYE"Floating Points excels at both electronic music and jazz, and his new seven-minute single "Corner of My Eye" finds a glistening middle ground between both. - RATBOYS - "WHAT'S RIGHT?"Ratboy's new album Singin' to an Empty Chair is out in February, and they've given us another preview with "What's Right?""
""We approached this song like an experiment in the studio, stitching together three different drum performances, in three different-sounding environments, to guide us through some dramatic scene changes within the song," Julia Steiner says. "We referenced the tight, yet expansive sonics of The War On Drugs and the desert landscapes of Thelma and Louise. The back half of the song came to me in a dream and remains one of the few times that I've had the presence of mind to record an idea immediately upon waking. Most of the lyrics and melody came out in that moment, and for that I'm still mystified and extremely grateful.""
Daily selections collect recent releases across genres, including indie tracks, remixes, and forthcoming metal. Jana Horn shared a new single ahead of a self-titled album arriving in January via No Quarter. Robyn's comeback single received a Jamie xx remix, his first in three years. Floating Points issued a seven-minute single, "Corner of My Eye," blending electronic and jazz elements. Ratboys previewed a February album with "What's Right?," experimenting by stitching three different drum performances and citing The War On Drugs alongside desert imagery; part of the song arrived in a dream and was recorded immediately. This Is Hell released "Born Suspicious," its first new song in 10 years, with an EP planned for 2026 via Trustkill.
