He responded to comments from Baisangur Susurkaev that he was not famous enough to attract a matchup, saying he builds his own name with his team. Gautier indicated he wants to return soon and is ready for whoever is offered. After the win, he called out Israel Adesanya, explaining he admires Adesanya’s skills and wants to face him as an African brother. Gautier said Adesanya is widely known across Africa and that everyone recognizes him as a fighter.
