An estimated 2,000 shells were launched at the Ukrainian positions. Syrskii said that Russian forces in Zaporizhia had used poor weather conditions to their advantage, advancing under heavy fog to infiltrate between Ukrainian positions in the region."

Russian troops claimed deeper pushes into Pokrovsk and Kupiansk, with footage showing vehicles and personnel moving into Pokrovsk. Ukrainian commander Oleksandr Syrskii reported that Russian forces used fog to infiltrate between positions and captured three settlements, while also saying Russian attacks inflicted heavy losses on the attackers.
