On Thursday, November 20, Revenue officers searched a package during routine profiling and discovered 0.8kg of crystal methamphetamine concealed inside boxes of soup labelled "Food". The drugs, valued at €48,000, had been sent from Spain and were destined for an address in Dublin."
"In a separate operation on Sunday, November 23, Revenue drug detector dog Maggie gave an indication that led to the discovery of 112.95kg of herbal cannabis. The cannabis, valued at €2,259,000, was vacuum-packed and hidden inside metal containers labelled "Electric Box". It had originated in Thailand and was destined for an address in Northern Ireland. Investigations are ongoing. This seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups and the importation of illegal drugs."
