Arihara returned to Japan and produced three productive seasons with the SoftBank Hawks, including a 2.31 ERA in 2023 and a 2.36 ERA with 14 wins the following year. Arihara will be a free agent on December 2 and has drawn interest from both MLB clubs and the Yomiuri Giants.
