""The umpires all came up to me, and they were like 'If you didn't get him out of there we were probably going to have to toss him'" Muncy said on Foul Territory. "Because you know how that goes, with the instigation rules. If you're the guy that instigates it, then you're usually the one who gets tossed, even through it's not your fault.""
""Wrobleski threw a pitch up and in on Andres Gimenez in Game 7, causing the infielder to move out of the way. However, he appeared to throw his hand at the ball in order to get hit on the pitch. The very next pitch, Wrobleski threw in again, this time hitting Gimenez on the hand. Gimenez gestured with his arms out towards the mound, which prompted Wrobleski to begin walking towards the plate while yelling at Gimenez.""
Justin Wrobleski threw two inside pitches at Andres Gimenez in Game 7, with the second pitch hitting Gimenez's hand after Gimenez appeared to move to be hit. Gimenez gestured toward the mound and Wrobleski began walking toward the plate while yelling, prompting benches and bullpens to empty. Max Muncy rushed in from third base and physically held Wrobleski back, preventing him from reaching Gimenez and likely averting an ejection under instigation rules. Umpires told Muncy they would have ejected Wrobleski if he had not been restrained. Wrobleski then threw 1.1 scoreless innings, striking out two and helping the Dodgers rally to win in extra innings.
