Eight arrested over conspiracy to destroy Ulez cameras
Briefly

A coordinated operation led to the arrest of six men and two women on suspicion of conspiracy to commit criminal damage regarding Ulez cameras. One male suspect allegedly threatened the repair team for a damaged camera. Arrests occurred across multiple locations including Uxbridge and Sutton. Although searches are in progress, some items related to the alleged offenses have been recovered. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with information about targeting Ulez cameras to come forward.
We take these offences very seriously and officers will continue working closely with Transport for London and other partners to identify and build a case against those responsible.
Some may think of this sort of behaviour as a victimless crime, but when cameras are damaged or destroyed it creates dangerous hazards, risking collisions on the road in addition to disruption for motorists and residents.
