Make Do and Mend are back, album & shows announced
"About eleven years ago, after releasing and touring on our album Don't Be Long, we stepped away from being a full-time band to focus our energies on other important parts of our lives. We didn't say much about it. We decided to just let it be. Since then, like many of you, we've found careers, built marriages, started families."
"Make Do And Mend never stopped being a living, breathing thing for us. Even in our time of creative inactivity, Matt, Mike, and I continued to communicate almost daily. In truth, we've become better friends than we ever were before. Kind of strange how age and maturity can do that."
"Over the past year or so, we started to bat around what being creative together again might look like. We began sharing ideas, which led to a collection of new songs that will make up the fourth Make Do and Mend album. We humbly regard it as our best."
Make Do and Mend, a Boston post-hardcore band, stepped away from full-time activity in 2015 following their album Don't Be Long. The three members pursued careers, families, and personal lives while maintaining close friendship and daily communication. Despite creative inactivity, the band remained meaningful to them. Over the past year, they began collaborating creatively again, developing new material they consider their best work. The band has recorded their fourth album titled On Going and plans to perform live shows. They've launched a Substack to reconnect with fans and share updates about the album release and tour dates.
