Iron Maiden Drummer Nicko McBrain Announces Memoir Hello Boys and Girls!
"I'm very excited and honored to be working with the wonderful Harper NonFiction Team on my very own book full of lots of fun stories, anecdotes and of course my incredible experiences with some of the greatest musicians and performers from the 70s, 80s and beyond! I am blessed to be able to finally share my path to where I am today, in my own words, with the world."
"The book is set to cover McBrain's life not just in Iron Maiden but his early career as well, including his time with groups like Streetwalkers, Pat Travers Band, and Trust, in addition to the period of his time as a studio musician."
"He's recorded 14 studio albums with Maiden, and still remains an official member of the band despite stepping away from touring at the end of 2024. However, he recently announced a series of shows with his Iron Maiden tribute band Titanium Tart."
"Iron Maiden, meanwhile, will launch the North American leg of their "Run for Your Lives tour" celebrating their iconic first nine albums in late August, with support from Megadeth and Anthrax ( tickets available here)."
Nicko McBrain announced the memoir Hello Boys and Girls!, scheduled for October 22 through Harper NonFiction. The book covers his life beyond Iron Maiden, including early career work with Streetwalkers, Pat Travers Band, and Trust, as well as his period as a studio musician. McBrain joined Iron Maiden in 1982 and recorded 14 studio albums with the band. He remains an official member even after stepping away from touring at the end of 2024. He also announced shows with his Iron Maiden tribute band Titanium Tart. Iron Maiden plans a North American Run for Your Lives tour in late August with Megadeth and Anthrax, and a new documentary titled Burning Ambition has reached theaters.
