Liverpool sacked Arne Slot after disappointing Premier League title defence, including 19 losses this season and dressing-room disharmony with Mohamed Salah outspoken. Steven Gerrard said Slot did an incredible first year, winning the title, but later performances looked disjointed and difficult to watch. Gerrard believes Iraola’s management style would suit Liverpool and that he has done a fabulous job at Bournemouth. Gerrard added Iraola should be in the conversation, while other elite managers will also be contenders. Sources report Liverpool’s decision involved enormous reluctance.
