NASCAR settles federal antitrust case filed by 2 teams - ESPN
"Today's a good day,"
"We're ready."
"I wish we could've done this a few months ago,"
"I believe this is great for NASCAR. Great for the future of NASCAR. Great for the entity of NASCAR. Great for the teams, and ultimately great for the fans."
NASCAR reached a settlement on the ninth day of a federal antitrust trial involving 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports, one team co-owned by Michael Jordan. The lawsuit followed refusal by those teams to sign new 112-page charter agreements offered in September 2024; 13 of 15 teams signed while the two sued and raced much of 2025 without charters. Both teams warned that losing the case would threaten their businesses. U.S. District Judge Kenneth Bell paused other proceedings and later described the settlement as beneficial for NASCAR, teams, and fans. Financial and contractual details were not released.
