George W. Bush's trans cousin jokes about how it's hard to date as a "Bush" who "loves bush" - LGBTQ Nation
"I'm a trans member of the Bush family, so I don't got that kind of money anymore."
"It's hard to date 'cause bringing someone back, bringing a queer person back to Thanksgiving, your creepy uncle is like, W."
"I feel like it's my due diligence to do so for others because I feel like I would want consent before f**king a member of the Bush family. But my therapists say that I don't necessarily need to do that, and I disagree with them."
Comedian Jessi Kat Scott, who identifies as trans, confirmed membership in the Bush family while performing on Crowd Control. Scott said former President George H.W. Bush was their great uncle, making George W. Bush a type of 'cousin uncle.' Scott joked that being a trans Bush family member means they no longer have inherited wealth and that bringing a queer partner to Thanksgiving can be awkward because of 'creepy uncle' W. Scott said they feel obligated to 'come out as a Bush' before intimacy and referenced therapist advice and a stand-up bit about being 'c**k blocked by 9/11.'
