"We believe every trans+ young person deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and supported, especially during a season that can feel especially difficult,"
"This year has been horrific for the trans community in the UK, and we all need a glimmer of hope."
"This is exactly the kind of gift I would have loved when I was younger," Starr said. "Being able to offer that joy to the next generation is something we're deeply grateful for - it's healing, hopeful, and a reminder that none of us are alone."
Trans Secret Santa is an annual UK community project run by Trans+ Solidarity Alliance that gives free presents to trans people under 25. The scheme sources gifts from brands and trans creators and aims to deliver over 1,000 presents. Young people under 25 can apply via the organisation’s online form before the deadline of Sunday 30 November. The initiative began in 2022 to support trans youth without homes or supportive families and delivered over 700 gifts in its first year. A public fundraiser has raised over £2,000 so far. The effort responds to recent legal developments affecting trans rights and aims to offer practical support and emotional relief during the holiday season.
