Valentino Cash Amil, 30, was arrested for the hit-and-run murder of 74-year-old transgender musician Dannielle Spillman. The incident began when Spillman objected to Amil's car blocking her path. Following a verbal exchange, Spillman poured liquid on Amil's car, prompting him to accelerate, hitting her. Amil fled the scene, claiming he was scared for his family's safety. Spillman was pronounced dead shortly after. Amil's attorney argued he acted in self-defense, describing Spillman as belligerent and a threat.
