The building measures 17 stories tall and is home to 200 rooms, featuring Aleto restaurant on the 17th floor with a menu centered around Yucatán fare and Oak & Amber near the lobby."
The Monarch San Antonio, a luxury hotel operating under Hilton's Curio Collection brand, completed its development journey and welcomed its first guests on March 3. The project required more than a decade of planning and development by owner/operator Zachry Hospitality, with construction costs reaching approximately $1 million per room. The 17-story building contains 200 guest rooms and two dining establishments: Aleto on the 17th floor serving Yucatán cuisine, and Oak & Amber, the signature restaurant near the lobby. The Zachry family's involvement with the site dates back to 1968 when they participated in developing a building for HemisFair, the World's Fair. The hotel's name references the annual migration of monarch butterflies through San Antonio, reflecting the city's cultural connection to these insects and their ecological importance.
