Wiz launched Zero Day Cloud, a cloud-hacking competition with a $4.5 million prize pool for discovering and exploiting 0-click remote code execution or container escape vulnerabilities in 20 open-source projects that power major cloud platforms. Submissions close December 1; accepted entries will demonstrate exploits on stage in London on December 10–11. Successful demos are validated, disclosed to maintainers, and earn payouts from $10,000 to $300,000 depending on the target. Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative noted similarities between Wiz's rules and Pwn2Own rules, prompting public accusations of copying and social-media memes. Trend invited Wiz to Pwn2Own Ireland, and Wiz issued a response praising Pwn2Own.
