
Ryanair has reduced flights from Berlin, citing high taxes and costs, and plans to halve services while removing all seven aircraft starting in October. Eurowings is expanding its presence at Berlin Brandenburg Airport by stationing two additional aircraft for the winter schedule, increasing its fleet at BER to eleven jets. The airline will raise frequencies to holiday destinations including Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Tenerife. Eurowings also plans new routes, with Bologna confirmed as an addition and more potential destinations expected. The airline will decide in July whether to take over additional routes currently operated by Ryanair. The expansion is expected to create more than 300 local jobs.
