"On Friday NATO chief Mark Rutte said that "a strong Europe in a strong NATO means that the transatlantic bond will be stronger than ever" and French President Emmanuel Macron said that "this is the right time for a strong Europe," that would be "building its own architecture of security"."
Ten years after the Brexit referendum, Britain and the European Union face an increasingly unstable world and must close ranks. Europe and the UK need closer cooperation on security, the economy, and defending democracies. The UK and Europe should come closer together because their futures remain bound. The focus must be on building hard power to deter aggression and, if necessary, to be ready to fight. Establishing a shared industrial base across Europe can turbocharge defence production and multiply strengths. A strong Europe within a strong NATO will reinforce the transatlantic bond and develop its own security architecture.
