"Google's parent company Alphabet is the latest tech giant closing in on a $4 trillion valuation, amid the artificial intelligence boom and a report of a potential chips deal with Meta. The Mountain View search company's shares were up 1.62% on Tuesday and nearly 70% this year, for a market capitalization of $3.9 trillion. The Information reported on Monday that Meta was considering Google's AI chips for its 2027 data centers in a potential deal worth billions of dollars."
"Google also released its latest Gemini 3 chatbot last week, making the company a competitor to two leading AI firms OpenAI and Nvidia, whose shares were down 2.59% on Tuesday. Google is now the world's third-most valuable company, behind Apple and Nvidia. Separately, Google was back in Virginia court last week in its advertising antitrust case. Judge Leonie Brinkema ruled in April that the company has an illegal monopoly through its online ad server and ad exchange."
"Judge Brinkema must now rule on a remedy for the monopoly, which could include a sale of Google's ad marketplace. Earlier this year, Google avoided the sale of its Chrome browser in another antitrust case brought by federal prosecutors but was ordered to share data with competitors. Google reported over $102 billion in third quarter revenue, a new record and 16% increase from the prior year."
