Tamara 'Tats' Ward has raised more than 500,000 for Dravet Syndrome UK over the past five years through fundraising efforts. She combined hula hooping with running by completing the Royal Parks Half Marathon in London while hula hooping. The event established a new world record for running a half marathon while hula hooping. Ms Ward undertook the challenge motivated by personal connection: her nephew has Dravet, a rare form of epilepsy. Dravet causes learning disability and a range of associated conditions including autism and speech difficulties.
