John and Theresa Breen of Ardee received the Excellence award 2025 and the MACE off-licence store of the year, with recognition for staff and customers. The annual Dromin fundraiser takes place on July 11, with all proceeds supporting Ardee Hospice Homecare. Mattock lotto numbers were 7, 8, 19, and 31, with a €12,900 jackpot not won; Hugh Donnelly won Match 3 and the next jackpot is €13,000 on Tuesday 26 May. A new coffee shop, Bean & Gone, is opening in Collon at the rear of Donegans. Hunterstown Hooley is scheduled for June 27 at Oberstown Farm, and Ardee & Collon Church seeks new Eucharistic Ministers. The Ardee diocesan pilgrimage to Knock leaves May 31, and Blessing of the Graves events are set for September 6.
