Briefly

Lauren O'Brien, a 13-year-old motorsport enthusiast, tragically passed away after a collision during a race at the Cork Autograss circuit. Having only recently taken up the sport, Lauren was excited and had shown promising talent in her initial races. The event was organized by the Cork Autograss Racing Club. Tributes flowed in from her school, where friends and staff gathered to remember her positive spirit and kindness towards others, illustrating the profound impact she had in her short life. Her family, also passionate about motorsport, mourns the immense loss.
Lauren grew up with the sport. It's her family's sport, and this was her second race seemingly. She had done well in her first one and was buzzing after it. It's tragic.
She was great, she was calm and relaxed and confident. She came from a lovely place. She was like an adult rather than a child, and full of life.
