Puel returns to Nice as interim head coach after Haise departs - Soccer News
"Nice have parted ways with head coach Franck Haise with the side sat 13th in the Ligue 1 table, bringing former boss Claude Puel back on a short-term contract. Puel, who previously led Nice from 2012 to 2016, overseeing fourth-place finishes at the start and end of his tenure, will take the reins until the end of the season."
"In agreement with president [Jean-Pierre] Rivere and given the sporting situation, we have chosen to end my mandate as coach of Nice, and those of my assistants Lilian Nalis and Johann Ramare. I would like to thank all the people who work every day for the club and hope its supporters and its entire environment to quickly return to a positive sporting dynamic."
OGC Nice have parted ways with head coach Franck Haise as the club sits 13th in Ligue 1, and former manager Claude Puel has returned on a contract until the end of the season. Haise and his assistants Lilian Nalis and Johann Ramare left by mutual agreement after a six-game league losing run before the international break. Haise had led Nice to fourth place last season and Europa League qualification, but the team lost all six group-stage matches this season. Puel previously managed Nice from 2012 to 2016 and will oversee immediate fixtures against Strasbourg and Nantes. Nice recorded 24 defeats in 47 matches across 2025.
