"Paris' Louvre Museum said on Monday that it was closing one of its galleries as a precaution after an audit revealed structural weaknesses in some of the beams in the building. The Campana Gallery, which houses nine rooms dedicated to ancient Greek ceramics, will be closed while investigations are conducted into "the particular weakness of certain beams supporting the floors of the second floor", it said."
"It is not clear how long the closure will last for, but the rest of the museum will be open as normal. The closure comes after the museum - one of the world's most-visited, attracting 10 million people per year - made global headlines when thieves broke in and stole France's crown jewels. Police have several people in custody over the heist but the jewels, worth an estimated €88 million, are still missing."
