"The fast-food giant's Happy Meal Boo Buckets returned to restaurants nationwide on Oct. 21. This year's lineup includes a trio of returning themed buckets - Ghost, Pumpkin and Goblin - in addition to two new "ghoulie friends": Cat and Zombie. Each bucket features three different designs (of "creepy, kooky and cute expressions") for a total of 15 faces to collect this year. Plus, kids can decorate their pails with Halloween-themed stickers."
"McDonald's is a relative latecomer to spooky season. Last month, Burger King announced its first-ever Monster Menu, which features four creature-inspired twists on menu items, as well as a Halloween-themed King Jr. Meal, which comes with collectible Scooby Doo-themed toys. BK also dropped its own limited-edition Halloween Bucket, which will be available starting Oct. 13 at participating restaurants, while supplies last."
McDonald's returned Happy Meal Boo Buckets to restaurants nationwide on Oct. 21, featuring Ghost, Pumpkin and Goblin buckets plus two new ghoulie friends: Cat and Zombie. Each bucket offers three distinct faces described as creepy, kooky and cute, for 15 collectible designs, and comes with Halloween-themed stickers for decorating. The pails are available only with Happy Meal orders, temporarily replacing classic Happy Meal boxes. A 2024 redesign drew social media criticism, and the newest designs more closely resemble 2023 versions. Competing fast-food chains offered Halloween promotions, including Burger King's Monster Menu and limited buckets and Wendy's Frosty Frights Kids' Meal with collectible toys.
