FC Barcelona will send its U16 squad to the inaugural Messi Cup in Miami from December 9 to 14, 2025. Eight clubs will participate, including Inter Miami, Manchester City, River Plate, Inter Milan, Newell's Old Boys, Atlético Madrid and Chelsea. The tournament will feature 18 matches over six days at venues such as Chase Stadium and the Florida Blue Training Center. Teams will begin in a round-robin group phase, then progress to knockout rounds with the final and third-place match on December 14 at Chase Stadium. The event includes a soccer industry summit and cultural and networking activities, with Lionel Messi linked to the competition and Barcelona's development legacy.
