Instead of treating these uncomfortable feelings as something to push away, the designer examined how they progress and found a way to express them through light, volume, and material."
Blow is an interactive lighting series of inflatable lamps that brighten and expand as air is pumped into them. The lamps require physical engagement with a hand pump, causing immediate visual and luminous transformation as pressure increases. The concept embodies the progression of anxiety by externalizing internal tension through changing light, volume, and material. Users control the intensity and form of the lamps, creating a tactile, participatory experience rather than passive illumination. The series comprises two pieces, Blow 01 and Blow 02, and each piece activates only through user interaction, emphasizing control and tangible expression of emotional states.
