"A low-pressure system tracked over Ontario on Saturday, bringing snow and rain to northeastern sections of the province and rain, fog and mild temperatures to southern Ontario. It led to significant snow melt and reports of ponding on roads in several areas, and Environment Canada says sections of Bruce Road 7 were reported to have been washed out."
Ontario experienced record-breaking warm temperatures over the weekend, with Toronto airport reaching 17.6°C on Saturday, surpassing the previous March 7 record of 17.2°C set in 1860. St. Catharines recorded 20.3°C while Wiarton received over 40 millimetres of rain. A low-pressure system brought snow to northeastern Ontario and rain, fog, and mild temperatures to the south. The combination caused significant snow melt, road ponding, and washouts, including sections of Bruce Road 7. Dense fog contributed to multiple accidents across the province.
